Hey all!

We have a number of issues with poachers on our three sections of private waters we guide on. It is a very rural area where this upper section of the river is located and a lot of the locals do not respect the boundaries. We constantly have to keep our eyes out for poachers.

They cut gates sneak in through back trails and have been known to get violent when confronted. In Pecos NM when you own land on the river then you also own that section of land under the river which means No Trespassing for anyone who does not have permission to be there.

Obviously that does not happen. We have no immediate solution except to have a person posted on the property everyday and we can't really do that. We just have to be vigilant and confront everyone we see poaching in a non-threatening manner at first and hope they respond well to that. If we catch them again then that is a different story...
