Possible Closure of Erwin Trout Hatchery

This hatchery delivers fish to 12 rivers in East Tennessee.  The goverment want's to close this hatchery and put in a chemical company a mile down the road.  I think stuff like this should stop!

all local chapters are in on this one but it has to do with the Fed cutting money. this will be a massive blow to all the Delayed Harvest Fisheries in the SC, TN and NC. Losing this hatchery will mean a higher cost of eggs for the state agencies which will mean few fish for stocking. we'll all suffer if this budget issue doesn't get the attention it deserves.

I fished some delayed harvest streams when I was in NC for the annual meeting. I'd hate to see those beautiful streams impacted poorly. Keep fighting the good fight on this one!
